Tailer+ is a feature rich, flexible, and powerful log file viewer. Features include the ability to watch files as they are updated either locally or on a remote host using SSH, powerful text filters, bookmarkable windows, system-wide hot keys, and more window customizations than you could imagine.

Features
|
|
Watch Log Files
|
Tailer+ provides a complete interface to the command line program tail. Tail allows you to follow system log files (or any file for that matter) displaying additions to them as they are made.

Tail With SSH
|
With it's Tail With SSH menu item, files can be watched on remote servers. Windows with a file being watched through SSH behave exactly the same as windows used for local files, all bookmarks, filters, and windows settings work identically.

Text Filters
|
Tailer+ allows you to use an unlimited number of robust text filters on the files it displays. Syntax for the filters can be Simple Keyword or Perl or Posix regular expressions. Matched lines can be filtered in or out if desired. You can specify foreground and background colors for both the matched text and the matched text's lines. And you can have Tailer+ beep or even speak when a match is hit.

Bookmarks
|
Open windows can be added to Tailer+'s Bookmarks menu with it's Add Bookmark item. The menu is categorizable and customizable through the Manage Bookmarks item. Bookmarked windows nicely retain ALL their settings when re-opened not just the file name.

Window Settings
|
Tailer+ windows have many different settings that can be customized. Customizable window settings include the window's style (titled, titleless, metal, etc.), it's level (desktop, below others, above others, etc.), shadow, title bar, background, and text colors, font and text attibutes, scroll bars, anti-aliased text, and many more.

Hot Keys
|
You can set a variety of system-wide hot keys that work with Tailer+. Currently available are hot keys to Show and Hide Tailer+, Show and Hide Other Applications, and a hot key that will bring all Tailer+ windows to the highest window level momentarily.

|
Text Encodings
|
Tailer+ allows any text encoding supported by OSX, which is a lot.
|
|
Saved Windows
|
All window and command settings are automatically saved by Tailer+ when it quits so when the program is restarted windows and their commands come back exactly where they were when it was last run.

Purchase
|
Tailer+ costs $7 (US) to register and receive a serial number. Unregistered copies are limited to 3 open windows at any one time. You can register the program one of two ways, either from within Tailer+ itself with the "Purchase Now" option or at the Tailer+ Online Store.
